Until then, here’s some details about the courses.
Our beginners course is run by experienced club archers where we aim to make your time with us fun but ultimately safe.
Across five weekly evening sessions (Tuesday’s 6-8pm) you will learn everything you need to be confident in shooting arrows at a target and the basics about your bow.
Each session consists of an hour of tuition followed by an hour of free practice.
We are an adult club but chaperoned children (7+) are welcome. Participants must be able to take instruction.
All equipment provided (wear tight fitting clothes and closed toed shoes for safety), so you only need to bring yourself, maybe a drink, and a bit of good humour.
Please message us if you wish to participate. £50 adults, £30 juniors.
If there are any changes to the course, maybe due to weather, this will be announced on our updates page so please look at that if the weather is looking bad.
Sadly we cannot run sessions later in the year as the weather is unpredictable and we don’t have indoor or sufficient covered facilities to accommodate large groups for tuition.
There are other local clubs who can accommodate, and if you were to attend their course then you would be able to join Cody Bowmen thereafter once assessed for shooting safely at a club session. You would just need to let us know when you would be visiting for an assessment.
