Target sessions
Tuesdays & Thursdays 6-8pm
On the pitch until the winter season but the range in the woods is available to those who are slightly averse to the sunshine.
In winter the goal is to have these sessions with floodlights up to end Nov (also shooting line for will be closer to the fence to get maximum lighting). Remember to bring your £1 for the floodlights.
Sundays 2-4pm
Will continue on the pitch and will be weather dependent.
As a courtesy, please remember to setup and take down the targets and bosses before you handle any of your kit. Turning up just to flick sticks and not help out is unfair to others.
Also, the shooting line is to be set to the side of the pitch rail opening which faces away from the Runabout. This is to allow free access to the hut whilst anyone is shooting. There are also distance markers on the fence to make setup easier from that point.
And in case it hasn’t been said enough… NO RUNNING!
Field course notice!
No compounds are allowed to be shot on the field course in the woods, but the range is permitted. Also, no carbon arrows and no crossbows.
Note: The woods (field course and range) are available at any time.
Lights for the range
We now have dedicated lights for the range which are turned on using the panel to the right of the shooting line. The far left button turns on the lights at the 30m target end, and the button to the right of the fuse box turns on the shooting line lights. The far right button is for future expansion and not currently active. Those wanting lights on the 50m target will need to use a freestanding and battery powered lamp.
Note that the buttons are timed switches which will turn themselves off after 2-3 hours. If they start flashing and you want to continue shooting, then just press them again.
Please do not touch any other part of the setup and ask a senior member of the club if you run into issues.
